North of the port city of Torrich lies the town of Dewhurst, a travel hub on the road to Aufstrag. As a popular trading route, the town has always been host to a mixing pot of many sorts of folk. However, recently some of the traders and travelers have vanished without a trace, all of them being of Elven and Dwarvish descent. Rumors have spread that an evil sorcerer has been kidnapping the poor souls for use in their twisted experiments. Now the very livelihood of the town is at risk as many travelers have become wary of passing through, and many of the trade-goods offered by the Elves and Dwarves are becoming scarce. Our adventuring party has been tasked with investigating the disappearances and bringing their captor to swift justice.

A Darker Shade of Ale is an adventure for the "Castles & Crusades" TTRPG by Troll Lord Games. This system has an old-school feel and is designed to be easy to learn, suitable for players of any experience level. Pre-generated characters will be available, but players are welcome to roll their own character sheet if desired. All materials needed for the game will be provided by the GM.
