Welcome to OrcaCon 2023! We’ve got our Scheduler set up for this year, and over the next few months, you’ll start seeing it populated full of games, panels, workshops, and special events.
Are you new to Sched?
We’ve created a FAQ for you! It’s a living document, so we’ll be editing it over time as we answer more questions and we get closer to the show.

He triggered the rear guns once more. A direct hit! The blue car skidded as the driver lost control - then flipped and caught fire. That would teach him not to tailgate . . .
Car Wars features the roads of the future where the right of way goes to the biggest guns. This is part of a tournament. The top 2 finishers in each qualifier advance to the final (at 7), with the overall victor taking home a trophy. Players may play in any number of qualifiers until they advance. This year, the Car Wars tournament at OrcaCon is being played using the brand-new 6th Edition of Car Wars
**Qualifier Games** The four qualifier games have eight seats in each game. They are completely independent of one another - you can play in as many or as few as you wish (however if you have played in a prior round, the seats will be given first to players who have not yet played and wish to do so). The top two finishers in each round will progress to the final. One alternate will also be named for each qualifier game. Once a player becomes a finalist, that player can no longer play in the qualifier games (though alternates may). The four qualifier games start at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. For the qualifier games, each participant will use a predesigned vehicle created by the host. **The Final** There will be a trophy for the victor of the final to take home! The final round begins at 7 p.m. To play in the final you must have first become a finalist (or alternate) through one of the qualifier games. Players will be seated using the following criteria: 1. Designated finalist 2. Alternate from the same qualifier as a designated finalist who is not present. 3. Alternate from any round not yet seated.
Good luck! And remember, **Drive Offensively!**
